Tough one for Kaz

I didn’t watch last night’s game, but it appears that Kaz struggled somewhat as the Rays went down 8-4 to the Florida Marlins.  He allowed 6 hits and 6 runs in 5 innings work, but still struck out 8.  The Rays actually outhit the Rays 9-8, but scored only on home runs – 4 solo shots, by Aubrey Huff, Greg Norton, Russ Branyan and Julio Lugo.  Just for the record, Huff’s batting average has shot up over the last week or two, and is now at an almost respectable .247.

Hopefully I will get around to watching tonight’s series finale, where Casey Fossum starts, and apparently the intention is for Jae Seo to pitch at some point.  Hopefully the Rays can avoid the sweep and take the seaon series from the Marlins.

Footbal_balll_co_8World Cup Central – Brazil and France won yesterday to complete the quarter-final lineup.  Brazil won as expected, but unconvincingly, while’s France’s progress was something of a surprise, but with some style.  Quarter-finals start on Friday.
